Letter dated 12 December 1839 from William Lithgow, Auditor-General in Sydney to Edward Johnstone, Police Magistrate of the Paterson district, New South Wales. The letter requests that the accounts of fines and fees collected by the Paterson Court of Petty Sessions for 1839 be forwarded to the Auditor's office for examination.
